reiki

Reiki (“ray-key”) is a body-mind-spirit healing practice that began in Japan. During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels universal energy through gentle hand movements for the purpose of adjusting the client’s vibrations. Similar to tuning a guitar to match a pitch, the client’s systems synchronize with the incoming Reiki energy. Tuning up your vibrational frequency by removing blockages and restoring the natural flow increases vitality, balances emotions, and improves health.

Reiki treatments have been linked to a range of physical and emotional benefits, including: better sleep, improved mood, pain relief, and lower blood pressure. Because it promotes relaxation and activates the body’s own healing processes, Reiki energy healing is complimentary to other forms of treatment. Reiki is frequently used by people navigating stressful life events like divorce, surgery, or a cancer diagnosis. It’s also used on a maintenance basis to maintain optimal function and feelings of well-being.

Belief is not required for Reiki energy healing to be effective. As a result, energy work benefits special populations such as infants and very young children, people who are unconscious, even animals. Reiki is gentle and safe for all ages. It is not tied to any specific nationality or religion, and is not associated with religious
practice.

Traditionally during sessions, the client relaxes on a comfortable, padded massage table. If you have physical restrictions (Ex -pregnant), Reiki can be given while you remain seated in a chair. To get the most out of your session, plan to wear comfortable clothes and leave heavy jewelry at home. You will be asked to remove your shoes, but otherwise you’ll remain fully clothed. A light blanket, bolster, etc. will be available for your comfort.
